Our intent is to provide the serious giant scale warbird enthusiast with a set of lightweight yet highly reliable and rugged pneumatic retracts. Not only are they up to the task of handling abuse but they also provide the scale purist with the proper outline and all the proper angles from front and side views without costing a small fortune.

No wimpy pencil thin struts or miniature air cylinders or cheap plastic parts in the high stress areas. All the materials used are Aircraft grades of 6061-T6 or 7075-T6 Aluminum. Many of the high stress parts are Stainless Steel and the higher wear areas utilize Brass or Bronze bushings. All main units are supplied with 1/4 dia music wire axles.

Designed specifically for the Vailly Aviation 90" FW-190. These may also be utilized in the FW-190 designed by Don Smith, with modifications to his wing. Strut length is 12-1/2 from axle to trunion pivot. These are 74-degree retraction units that weigh 1.4 lbs each and will fit between 1-3/4 wide mounting bearers.

Designed specifically for the Vailly Aviation 90" FW-190. This unit is activated by a 5/8 dia air cylinder. It is configured to retract vertical to simulate the full size ship. Weight is 5.25 oz. This unit accepts up to a 3.00 dia wheel. (not provided) It is steered by pull-pull cables.
Designed specifically for the Vailly Aviation 97 " Typhoon.
Strut length is 10.00 from axle to trunion pivot. These are 96-degree retraction units that weigh 1.5 lbs each and will fit between 1-7/8 wide mounting bearers.
Designed specifically to fit the Vailly Aviation 92” P-47.
These units will also fit Nick Ziroli’s 92” P-47.
Strut length is 10.00 from axle to trunion pivot in the down position.These are 85-degree retraction units that weigh 1.6 lbs each and will fit between 1-7/8 wide mounting bearers. They accept 5.50 or 6.00 dia. wheels.

Our units are the only units on the market today to incorporate (as an option) the scale shrink- bar actuation of the full size ship. The shrink-bar shortens the strut .50 inches during the retraction cycle.

Designed specifically for the Vailly Aviation 92 " Hurricane. Strut length is 7-1/2 from axle to trunion pivot. These units weigh .8 lbs each and will fit between 1-1/ 4 wide mounting bearers.
These are 95-degree retraction units and the strut also rotates 15 degrees to allow the wheel to lay flat within the wheel well when fully retracted.
Designed specifically for the Vailly Aviation Tempest and 90" Sea Fury.
These units can also be used in the Sea Furys designed by Don Smith and Century Jet with modifications to their wings. Strut length is 10.00 from axle to trunion pivot. Weight is 1.7 lbs each with scale struts. These are 96-degree retraction units that will fit between 1-7/8 wide mounting bearers. They accept 5.50 dia wheels.

This unit can be activated either by a 180 degree retract servo or an air cylinder. It can be configured to retract forward or rearward. Weight is 2.0 oz. It may be steered by pushrod or pull-pull cables. (both steering arms are provided)
